Edna Cordova Whitlock brings a diverse educational background and a deep passion for early childhood development to her role as a Montessori educator. She holds an A.S. in Elementary/Secondary Education from Camden County College in New Jersey, a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and an M.B.A. in Business from Colorado Technical University. While pursuing a Master’s degree and certification in Special Education at Georgia College & State University, Edna discovered her passion for the Montessori philosophy and began her journey as a Toddler Lead Guide.

She earned her Montessori certification and diploma from the North American Montessori Center and is currently expanding her expertise through additional certification and training at the Montessori Teacher Education Institute of Atlanta (AMS). Her commitment to lifelong learning reflects her belief in the power of early education and the foundational role it plays in shaping children’s futures.
Ms. Edna is the proud mother of three children—her 27-year-old son, and two daughters, ages 15 and 11—who are her greatest inspiration. She believes deeply in Maria Montessori’s philosophy: that education is a process of self-discovery driven by the child, supported by an environment that encourages independence, exploration, and respect for individual learning paces. She strives to create a classroom rooted in sensory learning, active engagement, and joy.

Outside the classroom, Edna enjoys cooking healthy new recipes, going on nature walks, reading to expand her knowledge, and playing games with family and friends. She also shares her home with two beloved pets—her dog, Bill, and her cat, She-Ra—who bring daily joy and entertainment.
